Invoker.

This 4-piece death metal band ensures neck pain, tinnitus and spontaneous sweating.
These are the first physical signs once struck by this German Blitzkrieg.
Strongly harsh guitar rhythms are repeatedly weaved with catchy leads and combined with both German and English lyrical themes.
With flexible song structures, powerful vocals and groovy bass guitars Invoker are putting their musical virus into your ears.

Once infected the whipping and pounding drums will control your bloodstream and drive you into musical madness.
Invoker have bred their own extreme disease out of both death and black metal bacteria.

Get ready to get invoker-fected!!

Toronto's Medusa Crush Recordings are happy to announce that on October 31st 2015 they will release the cassette version of Beheaded by Sweden'sLightsabres. While the band's name may conjure up images of space battles and droids, their music is in fact a bewitching hybrid of doom, sludge, punk and psychedelia. This is the second album of Lightsabres that Medusa Crush has released on cassette.

Label owner Mathieu Sankeralli commented on the release: "After re-releasing the debut tape 'Demons', Medusa Crush Recordings is just as stoked to present the latest album of lo-fi punk goodness for release on ltd. cassette! For those who have been following Lightsabres, this album sees a progression in style and songwriting, yet with the brash and raucous signature sound you've come to know and love. This grand tape also marks the 10th release for MCR, and we couldn't be happier that we are offering such a cool album."

The cassette will be available in red (15 copies), green (25 copies) and black (60 copies).

The album will be available for purchase on October 31st via the Medusa Crush Recordings Bandcamp. You can hear and order the band's previous albumDemons at this location:https://medusacrushrecordings.bandcamp.com/album/demons

The debut album from Polish up-and-coming death metal act, Kult Mogił, is now complete and will be released at the end of this year through Pagan Records. The band has unveiled the artwork and track list of the full-length, entitled Anxiety Never Descending.

Made up of six new tracks, the music found on this album creates an atmosphere of a reeking graveyard; a soundtrack to your damnation and slow death. The band commented: “We hope that - if we can put it this way – this record will not make dying any easier for you”. The ghastly music this group creates should appeal to fans of Portal, Bölzer, Dead Congregation, Cruciamentum, Necros Christos or Cultes Des Ghoules.

Regarding the band’s name, the members explain that Kult Mogił does not translate to “sepulchral cult”. Instead, “cult of graves” is more fitting and understood as a “burial place with or without tombstones” as opposed to “the cult of dead ancestors”.

More details including the release date, pre-orders and the first sounds from the grave shall be announced soon. Watch out!

Anxiety Never Descending track list:
1. Anxiety Never Descending
2. Threnody
3. Serene Ponds
4. Początek Wrażeń
5. The Width of a Forehead
6. Palliative Messiah

THE RIFF WHICH MADE YOU WANT TO PLAY THE GUITAR IS?

It is cheesy but I was young when I started discovering metal for myself and the riff that made me say “I can learn guitar and play like that” is the main riff to Enter Sandman - Metallica.

WHAT IS THE FIRST RIFF YOU LEARNED TO PLAY?

Aside from the classic “Smoke on the Water” intro lick that almost everybody picks up, the first riff that I learned was, heh, the Ritchie Valens / Los Lobos version of La Bamba.

YOUR TOP THREE METAL RIFFERS ARE?

There are so many great, heavy metal riffers out there but to have a “variety” I would go with Dimebag Darrell, Dave Mustaine, and Eric Peterson

WHO IS THE MASTER OF THE RIFF?

Just because he would say it, haha, Dave Mustaine.

THE RIFF WHICH IS THE SOUNDTRACK TO YOUR LIFE IS?

Domination - Pantera. The slow, heavy, groovy riff right after the solo. It’s heavy and on beat, then the rhythm goes on the back beat but is somehow still lined up, just like my life heh.

THE RIFF YOU WISH YOU WROTE IS?

The intro/main riff to Cowboys From Hell - Pantera

THE WORST METAL RIFF EVER IS?

There’s not a metal riff off the top of my mind that makes me roll my eyes and want to rip the the speaker cable out of the stereo. That’s not to say that one doesn’t exist… ”One man’s trash is another’s treasure” ??...haha!

RIFF FOR RIFF YOUR FIVE FAVOURITE ALBUMS ARE?

Just five?! That is tough as there are sooo much to chose from. There is no particular order to this...

Cowboys From Hell - Pantera
Powerslave - Iron Maiden
First Strike Still Deadly - Testament
Rust in Peace - Megadeth
Among the Living - Anthrax

A NON METALHEAD ASKS YOU WHAT DOES METAL SOUND LIKE, THE RIFF YOU PLAY THEM IS?

The verse riff to The Four Horsemen - Metallica

THE RIFF YOU WANT PLAYED AT YOUR FUNERAL IS?

Solitude/Funeral/When the Night Falls - Iced Earth. All three songs in their entirety as either the bon fire is being lit or I’m lowered into the ground. But if I had to choose one, let’s say the chorus riff to Panama - Van Halen. It’s not funeral-esk but I like that tune and hey, it’s my funeral!

WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT RIFFS ANYWAY?

The power to a great song lies within the riff. You have a great riff, you’re going to have a great song. The riff sets the mood of the song. It gives the listener something to hold on to, something to daydream to, something feed off of, and so forth. The artist behind the riff can translate what they’re feeling and what they want the world to know and feel by the power of a riff. Music is a universal language and requires no education to enjoy and understand. So if you have riffs, then hey, let’s hear ‘em!!

Having laid low since the end of 2014, just last month Northern Irish
death metallers Rex Shachath suddenly announced their return with
a brand new record which will be out November 20th via French
 label Great Dane Records.

Entitled Revocation Of The Blood Elect, this new EP might not be
what people are expecting if they're familiar with the band's debut
offering Sepulchral Torment. Since that release the band have had
time to coalesce and where Sepulchral Torment had more of an
'old school' sound, Revocation Of The Blood Elect is an entirely new animal.
Tackling social issues such as the state of modern society and man's
exorbitant desire for wealth at the expense of our natural world, the band
have harnessed a sound more befitting to such issues on their forthcoming
record. Old school ideals kneaded with modern death metal notions on a
much more up to date and punchier production is what we have here.
Revocation Of The Blood Elect carries a sound as big if not bigger than
 its message.

Now we can unveil the first taste of what to expect from the EP as
the band unleash a brand new music video for title track.

https://youtu.be/dXTWp-7pPCs

Vocalist Dave Connolly comments of the track, “This song sees those
in positions of power overthrown and put to the sword by man who
has endured the oppression of those who would see humanity and
the natural world struggle beneath them while they profit from the destruction
 of man and the earth.”
Artwork (as seen above), was completed by UK artist Godmachine famed
for his work with bands such as Suicide Silence, Bring Me The Horizon,
Cannibal Corpse and Job For A Cowboy to name a few. The EP was recorded,
mixed and mastered by Joe Thompson at Sonic Forge Studio, Cardiff, Wales.

Track Listing
1. Atonement Through Atrocity
2. Impious Axiom
3. Revocation Of The Blood Elect
4. Within The Temple Of Disgust (Featuring Ben McCrow)
5. Colossus Rise
